Our story

It was launched in 2022 as an initiative by the Dutch Council for Refugees, Start Foundation and Spark Optimus. In 2024, Refugee Talent Hub took over the platform.

For the past ten years, Refugee Talent Hub has been working to reduce the gap between newcomers and employment. We help newcomers take the next step in the Dutch labour market and support them in finding the right job. At the same time, we help employers understand what it takes to successfully employ newcomers, from building support within the organisation to inclusive recruitment and selection, and creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome.

Making it easy for employers and candidates to connect through vacancies is a natural extension of the work Refugee Talent Hub has been doing for many years.

As part of Refugee Talent Hub, we contribute to a shared ambition: a Netherlands where employers recognise and value the talents of people with a refugee background, and where refugees have equal opportunities to succeed in the labour market.
