Countless ships sail the seas and rivers every day to transport a wide variety of goods. Many ships would not be able to depart without lashing & securing, because a ship is constantly in motion and so the cargo can shift, resulting in damage. In addition, without lashing & securing, the stability of a ship cannot be guaranteed, also due to shifting cargo.

The following tasks will be part of your job:

As an All-round Lasher you will be sea worthily securing goods at our customers’ locations. Securing various types of general cargo can take place on different means of transport, such as in (open top) containers, on flat racks and on board (sea) ships.

The work to be done is varied, during which you must work efficient, thorough, and customer focused.

- Securing loads sea worthily using timber structures and welding straps;

- realization of the lashing & securing on board of the ships.

Do you have:

- Experience in a similar position or the willingness to the learn this fine trade;

- an availability of at least 4 days a week and the willingness to occasionally work overtime (for a supplementary payment) in the evenings or weekends;

- good command of the Dutch and/or English language;

- handiness and spatial insight;

- the ability to work well in a team.
