Your responsibilities

As an Assembly Technician, you will work at the BAM MEC factory in Houten. You will assemble and install prefabricated installation modules, lay cables, pipes, and technical components, and install electrical and/or mechanical systems. You will also test whether everything is functioning properly. You will work in accordance with the applicable safety and quality regulations and collaborate closely with work planners, engineers, and fellow technicians.

• You have technical insight and work accurately.

• You enjoy working as part of a team.
• You preferably have practical technical work experience, for example in electrical engineering, installations, maintenance, production, or assembly.
• Experience with technical drawings, electrical wiring, or installation work is a plus.
• You are willing to obtain certifications or follow a BBL (work-based learning) program if required.
  

What are we looking for?

• You have at least MBO level 2 or 3. We consider motivation and willingness to learn more important than a diploma alone.
• You preferably have a technical background, for example in electrical engineering, installation technology, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics.
• You are currently receiving benefits (you will continue to receive these during your training; once you start working, you will receive a salary).
• You have at least B1-level proficiency in Dutch.
• You are a status holder or are receiving temporary EU protection (such as Ukrainians).
• You live within a maximum travel time of 45 minutes from the industrial area in Houten.
• You can reliably reach the work location, including at times when public transport is limited. Therefore, a Dutch driver's license or your own transportation is a plus.
• A VCA certificate is an advantage (or you are willing to obtain one).
  

What do we offer?

• Scenario 1: You start with a preparatory training program (or part of it) lasting 12 to 16 weeks through Energy Skills (depending on how quickly you master the material). During this period, you will continue to receive your benefits. Afterwards, you will start working at BAM and receive a salary.
• Scenario 2: Do you already have sufficient technical knowledge, work experience, and/or certifications? If so, you may be able to start directly at BAM and receive a salary from your first day.
