The following tasks will be part of your job:

As shipping clerk you will be working on the agency department which provides a leading service in the Rotterdam port. You ensure that all communication between shore and ship runs smoothly. Furthermore, you are someone who has an eye for the wishes of the customer.

As a shipping clerk you will deal with the following tasks and responsibilities:

- preparing, executing and finishing all work tasks for the ships, cargo and crew;

- clearance of all goods on seagoing vessels;

- taking care of and handling the cargo documentation of various ships;

- reporting data and ship positions to the department head and back office employee.

- In addition you will, if needed, do ship visits during the stay of a ship in the port. Evening, weekend and night shifts are part of this function.

Do you have:

- accurate, stress-resistant and solution-oriented;

- always looking for the best solution for your customers;

- passionate about shipping and interested in the progress of business in and around the port.

What do we offer:

- have a pre-vocational secondary education working and thinking level;

- can communicate clearly in English at level B1 or higher;

- are in possession of driving license B;

- are available 40 hours a week and willing to work in several shifts.

- The starting salary is around €2500,- and you will get a company car.
