Your Role:

As a Trainee Field Technician, you will work on keeping the energy network reliable by installing, maintaining, and replacing cables. During a preparatory phase, you will follow a 3 to 4-day training program where you will gain essential knowledge about water, electricity, and gas pipelines. After this, you will enter the field (5 days a week) and shadow an experienced technician. Over time, you will work increasingly independently.

Scenario 1:

Start with the preparatory track lasting 12 to 16 weeks (depending on how quickly you pick things up). You will retain your benefits during this period. Afterward, you will start your 1.5-year BBL track (work-study program) at one of the following companies: Enexis, BAM, a.hak, APK Group, Hurkmans Group, Van Dorp, or Hanab. You will receive a salary during this track.

Scenario 2:

You already have the necessary technical knowledge, experience, and certificates, and you will start your 1.5-year BBL track (work-study program) immediately at one of the following companies: Enexis, BAM, a.hak, APK Group, Hurkmans Group, Van Dorp, or Hanab. You will receive a salary during this track.

About you:

• You have an interest in technology, enjoy working with your hands, and love learning new things.
• You enjoy working outdoors and are physically fit.
• You are currently receiving social security benefits (you will keep your benefits during the training; once you start working, you will receive a salary).
• Your Dutch language level is B1 or higher.
• You hold a valid residency permit or receive temporary EU protection (such as Ukrainians).
• Preferably, you hold a valid Dutch driver’s license.
• You live in the Brabant or North Limburg region.
• Previous volunteer work in a technical field is a plus.
